The Cat is officially Out of the Bag

We went for our doctor's appointment the other day and were able to see both babies and see both heartbeats as well. They were both beautiful and doing very well. So Jenene and I decided we should begin telling everyone. This is the most fun part about the whole thing. Jenene bought a shirt for Tyler that says "I have a secret" on the front and "I am going to be the big brother of twins" on the back. We put it on him and made the rounds to a few of my brothers and sisters. It is so fun seeing people finally seeing the shirt after it not registering for a while and then their reaction. they don't know if it's a joke or what. My nephew Jay had the reward for seeing it quickest. I think my sister inlaw Ann had the biggest reaction by her loud screams. I think my parents took the longest to see the shirt. I enjoy telling people too that Jenene is pregnant because for the most part they say "I knew it! I just had a feeling" Then I hit them with the fact that it's twins and it takes the reaction to a whole new level. It took a huge wait off my mother as well because she has been chomping at the bit to tell someone and now she finally can.

We feel a whole lot better now that we saw them and everything was good. We go tomorrow for the Nucleal trans lucencey test. It is a test for Down Syndrome so it is another hurdle to clear. Hopefully that will go well and we can enjoy this time with our family and friends. I am in the process of telling my friends now and will hit most of them tomorrow at our Fantasy Football draft.

Waiting Game

The first post I put in here I actually made a few weeks ago but didn't link the blog properly so I had to start over.
Jenene and I went to the doctor last week but because she was only 9 weeks along, they would not be able to hear the babies on the Doppler. They had nobody there to do an ultrasound so we have to wait until next week. We decided not to tell anyone about this until we are able to hear them again. we want to make sure everything is ok. Next week she will be 12 weeks too. Our Mothers are both about to burst at the seams and I am pretty excited to tell our family and friends as well. But reality is starting to set in as far as Jenene not being able to work after this and having to find a bigger home. We did put ours back on the market last week and hopefully we can sell it this time! Last time it was on for a year and went nowhere.
Jenene has been feeling pretty good and has just been very tired. She did almost get sick once but that was really it. Let's hope it stays that way throughout.
So the next post I will make will be next week and hopefully we will be off and running then.

The Beginning Shock

My wife and I Jenene have a beautiful son Tyler who has been the light of our world and with whom we've had a great time so far. He is 18 months old and is so much fun. We were able to have him through going to a specialist that fertilized Jenene since we were having trouble on our own. About 6 months ago, Jenene and I decided to try again and that it was time for #2. We spent a few months trying but then decided to go back to the specialist since it worked so well last time. We went back and were given a good chance to be successful again. We went through what we needed to and Jenene could not wait the whole time and took a pregnancy test on her own. So when we got the call that she was pregnant, it wasn't a surprise. What followed was. They give you your hormone levels when they call with the news and Jenene commented that the numbers seemed high. I thought it was in the same ballpark as the last time but told her to call her nurse and ask about it. The nurse left a message in return and you could only imagine my shock when she said "The number is high, but that just means there is probably more than one in there". Sure enough, Jenene went for her ultrasound and there are two. This puts a whole new spin on things and now we vault right over the two child family to a three child family! Mind you, we currently live in a two bedroom home and Jenene still works. So we need to buy a bigger house and have Jenene stop working in the next 9 months. We tried to sell our house and had it on the market for 1 year with no offers a year back! Our parents just keep telling us everything will work out and that we just need to keep praying. It gets awfully frustrating because things don't "just work out"Anyway, I am starting this blog because I have an ongoing one for Tyler that Jenene has really enjoyed and I think Tyler will really enjoy reading when he gets older. I think this one should be very interesting too to look back on once these two little persons come along. So if you are reading this, come along for the ride!
