It looks like we are taking another step this year and these guys understand Christmas but they are still scared sick of Santa. Ask them if they want him to come and you get a resounding "NO!". They still want the toys to show up though. It is the day before Thanksgiving and after tomorrow it is Christmas mode full swing. I have to get the lights up and have to get a tree too. The flood washed away our tree and there is now way these kids are going to have no tree for the holiday. You just ask Coop what he wants Sata to bring and he says "A Tree". I am sure I will get ripped off but we have to bite the bullet.
Christmas shopping will not be fun either as this is the busiest time of year for my business and even more so for Jenene's business. We just have to try to remember to take some time and enjoy this season with the kids cause there are only a few years you can have them as they are now.

Cute as Anything

Shea and Coop are getting ready for Halloween and are very excited this year. I don't think they get the trick or treat thing but definitely understand about dressing up. They tell everyone that will listen that they are going to be Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I am sure they will pick up on the whole candy being passed out thing after the first house or two. Then we are in trouble. they do look adorable in their costumes this year though. These pictures were taken when they were going to a Halloween party with one of my nieces.

After this Holiday then it will go quickly into Christmas I am sure. It seems to get started earlier every year. This year should be interesting though since Cooper and Shea are petrified of Santa still. I imagine a screaming fit once more when we try to get that picture. That's the fun of it thought right?

other than that, they have their first activity going on Tuesdays when they go to Story time at the library. they seem to really enjoy it. We need to get them into more stuff like that. They also like to go into Ty's Sunday school at the end and sing with the class. Shea jumps right in there and does the dance and everything. Coop talks a big game before but then chickens out.

Summer Over

It has been a really busy summer as you can see that I haven't even updated this blog at all. In August we did our week vacation down the shore with our good friends and their kids. Ty, Coop and Shea had a blast with the kids. they went on a pirate adventure and rode rides at the boardwalk and stayed up late every night. Mommy and Daddy were ready to go home by Wednesday. It was tough being in a small House with all of us and the kids not getting to nap at all after being in the sun. The kids enjoyed the beach.....sort of. Cooper would not go in the water all week and that was only topped by Shea who would not even let her feet touch the sand the entire week. so we had to either hold her or she sat in a chair with her feet up. In the end, it was great to spend so much time with our friends and their families as it's not something we get to do much anymore.

The next event we had was our home being flooded following a hurricane. It came up 8 feet in our basement and knocked out all of our utilities. They were all only a year old. Also everything had to be torn out of there. We lost a lot of pictures and all of our Christmas ornaments that we had collected over the years. It was such a tough and terrible thing to go through. As I write this, the family still hasn't moved back home because everything form the basement is upstairs and the cleaning is still going on. Hopefully they will be back in soon and we can do something down there so the kids can use it.

My angels are enjoying their summer and getting bigger everyday. Cooper is talking up a storm and is quite annoying sometimes with his asking "Why?" constantly and I mean constantly. She is getting better too. She is saying a lot but sometimes a little harder to understand. She loves her Daddy though. The three of them together have really become a handful because they all have their own personalities and know how to really frustrate one another. They push and wrestle and yell and don't listen many times. But they are adorable.
Cooper is swimming all by himself with his floatie on in the pool at his Sito's. Shea isn't quite there just yet. Neither of them is potty trained but Cooper keeps asking to go on the potty. No gold yet but it won't be long. Shea also has no interest. She is good at getting dressed and undressed though. Most mornings we find her in her crib with just a diaper or not even that on. I tell her she needs to keep it on and I just get a resounding "No" from her like usual when you tell her to do something. And don't dare yell at her because when someone else walks in the room she will have a crying breakdown. She will lose it for about 5 minutes. Girls sure are different.
In two weeks we have our vacation and hopefully they will enjoy the beach. As of right now, Shea won't even walk on the sand so we'll have to see. Coop is great and loves to find sea shells or as he says it "thee thells". The little lisp he has is awesome. My next post should be about how much fun we had hopefully!

I don't have a very good picture but this one will have to do. It is from when we were dying Easter eggs. The twins are doing great and are a real handful. Cooper is talking away and sometimes won't shut up. Shea has made great strides talking in the past two months too. They are excited for Summer and to go swimming. they also just got a new Swing set in their backyard that they are extremely excited about. you ask Coop what he got and he yells "A Thwingthet!!" Too adorable the both of them are. Not much more to report just getting ready to go on vacation in August down the shore with friends. Two year olds have all the fun!

Spring Fever

Well these two have not slowed down since hitting their second birthday. They are still a handful and love to cause trouble. The biting has slowed down but they still do it when they get mad at each other or Tyler. Shea has also begun pinching as a way of defending herself against her brothers. Cooper is a complete Mamas boy and is constantly crying for Jenene to hold him or sit with him. Shea lovers her Daddy but is not obsessed like Cooper is.

We are waiting for some warm weather so we can get out and do some stuff on weekends. It has been cold here and if not cold, it has been raining. We did get a few days that we were able to get out a few weeks ago. Of course that was followed up by a Cooper cold and Shea double ear infection. They get one thing and pass it between them for months.

Hopefully we can start potty training soon. The other night I was giving them a bath and rained the water and took Shea out. I had her in their room putting a diaper on and could hear Coop calling me. I went back in by the bath and he had decided to just poop in the tub. Oh it was a wonderful gesture by him and he couldn't understand why I wasn't happy. Another story to add to the many I guess.

We can't really complain though besides the normal stuff they are fun loving adorable and good kids. They just sometimes know how to get under your skin!

Almost Terrible Two's

These two are Monsters!! Recently I have spent a lot of time with them because Jenene has been working due to the Valentines Day rush. these kids have hit the age where they are a complete handful. It feels like all you time is spent cleaning up after some mess they made while they create another one in another room or with dealing with a melt down because they can't get something that they want to eat or drink. they are also starting to team up on stuff. I came in the other day and they had put everything in their room inside of Coopers crib. I am talking stuffed animals, toys, everything! They had this big shopping cart toy that they each grabbed an end of and they threw right over. I was like "What ARE you doing!!??" they just laughed. then the other day I was reprimanding Tyler on something and trying to look intimidating with my arms crossed over my chest. I looked down and I have one of them on each side of me with arms crossed across their chest staring at Tyler. It took everything I had not to laugh.

Even though they are a handful, they are insanely cute as well. They are starting to talk a lot and mimic stuff. they know what they like and don't like and will fight for it. Whether it is each other or someone else. They fight like cats and dogs but look out for each other when it comes to the important stuff like food or drink.

They turn two this coming Saturday and I can't believe it has going by so quick. I still remember the day I found out we were having twins. I was scared then but it has all been worth it.

A Brand New Year

Christmas and New Year's came and went in a flash and Santa was very good to the kids. they got so much stuff it was ridiculous. they were a little overwhelmed by the whole thing I think and ended up getting sick that weekend on top of it. They were just a little too young this year for it. Next year it will start getting good.
We also just took them down to Florida to Sito and Gido's place for the weekend which they enjoyed. It was good for them to get out of this wet and cold weather into the nice weather down there. They were even able to go swimming in the hot tub at Uncle Steven's. Well Cooper did but Shea wanted no part of it. They were very good on the plane which was one of our biggest fears. They went from arm to arm but no major breakdowns at all. They can't wait to go back again. not anytime soon though, after they turn 2 we have to start paying for them.

Speaking of that, their 2nd birthday is coming up in just a few weeks. Ty is first and then the twins. I can't believe it is going to be two years already. It flies by. I am not sure what we are going to do but I am sure it will be something with family and fun. They'll never remember it anyway!
